Attending: Elaine Rivera, President; Jacqueline Burke, 2nd Vice President, Patrick Mason; Finance Officer; Laura Finch, Secretary; Mark McPeck, Trustee; Julie Dempsey, Library Director

Absent: Milena Barrett, Trustee; Melissa Burdash, 1st Vice President

The meeting was called to order at  5:30 p.m.

The members recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mark moved to accept the minutes of the February, 2024 meeting.   Patrick seconded.  All were in favor.


Financial Report:
Jacquie moved as follows: Be it resolved to approve the warrants attached for operating expenses dated February 29, 2024 and March 15, 2024. Patrick seconded. All were in favor.

Agenda Items:

DirectorÕs Report:
Staff Update/Alex:  Alex came to introduce herself to the BOT.

Trustee Positions:  Petitions are due March 25, 2024 (30 days prior to election).  Mark handed his in today.

Meeting Room/Conference Room:  Now being used by many community groups: TOL Historical Society, TOL Seniors, HS Asian American student meetup, AARP Tax Help, VeteranÕs Group

Upcoming Programs:  AARP Fraud Protection, Solar Eclipse Program with SUNY NP Professor (with glasses to hand out from starnetlibraries.org).  Glasses are being handed out upon request with adult present.

Outdoor Music Garden: $6,000 donation from Phyllis Freeman and David Krikun for the purpose of a musical garden.  David will install the harmony bells.  Julie has also requested money from the Assemblyman for additional projects.

Old Business:
Next Meeting:  April 23rd
Budget Vote:  April 24th.  Early voting via mail-in is available for sign-up.

New Business:
MHLS MOU: Patrick made a motion to authorize a signature to agree to the MOU.  Seconded by Jacquie.  All were in favor.

Committees:

Facilities:  Committee will be meeting next week at 5:30 regarding maintenance issues on the radar.

Finance: N/A
 
Personnel: Alex has been working out well, and is fitting in well with library personnel.

Friends: Next meeting will be in April.  An offshoot Fundraising Committee was discussed.
