Minutes of Special Board of Trustees Meeting 
Highland Public Library 
Thursday, September 3, 2015

Attending: Mark McPeck, President; Nancy Hammond, Vice President-External Matters,  
Darlene Plavchak, Vice President-Internal Matters,  Eric Norberg, Financial Officer; Fran Brooks, Corresponding Secretary, Julie Dempsey, Library Director 
 
Absent: Melissa Burdash, Recording Secretary & Fundraising Chair 
 
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. 
 
Fran Brooks was named Secretary Pro Tem for the evening. 
 
The Collateral Pledge Agreement for Funds over $250,000 was signed by Mark McPeck as President of the Board of Trustees. 
 
The On-Line Banking Authorization Form was also signed by Mark as President of the Board. 
 
The Client Resolution to move the Project forward was approved. 
 
There is a pending Personnel Action to hire John Zaoutis due to the resignation of Samantha Bacchi.  Nancy moved to approve the Personnel Action, Eric seconded.  All were in favor. 
 
There is the 56th Annual Membership Meeting of the Mid Hudson Library System on October 16, 2015 at the Poughkeepsie Grant Hotel.  
 
There also is the Annual Dinner of the Ulster County Library Association on September 28, 2015  from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Cucina in Woodstock.  Please let Julie know if you will be attending either of these events. 
 
The next meeting will be on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Library. 
 
Eric made a motion to adjourn; Darlene seconded. 
 
The meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
