Nancy moved to allow Alan and Paul to award the low bidders for Contracts 2 thru 6 as indicated on the Letter from Butler Rowland Mays to Julie Dempsey dated September 13, 2016 and attached to these minutes. Fran seconded. A roll call was taken: Joanne: Yes Mark: Yes Nancy: Yes Fran: Yes Darlene: Yes Melissa and Eric were absen Naming Opportunities: We agreed that for $500 + someone could indicate the room/furniture/equipment they would like to donate to Naming a room could only be done if someone paid for everything in a room. The cost would be $75,000 to $100,000 for a room. $15,000 would be for the flag pole plaza area Fran indicated that in a past job, large bricks were $250; small ones were $150. Julie will look into how other Libraries handle bricks and what they charge. We will also reach out to the surrounding Library Communities to see how they deal with donations for furnishings, equipment, shelves. New Business: Personnel Action: Library Assistant Terra Thompson resigned. Nancy moved to accept the resignation of Terra Thompson effective 10/7/2017. Fran seconded.
