New York State and Ulster County launches “Vax to School” Initiative

New York State and Ulster County has launched a “Vax to School” initiative to make vaccinations convenient for those who wish to participate. School Districts around Ulster County will be available as vaccination sites.

Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced that anyone between the ages of 12-17 who receives their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a participating Point of Distribution (POD) will be eligible to enter a drawing for one of two two-year scholarships provided by the SUNY Ulster Foundation.

Below is a list of the vaccine clinics that will be held in local high schools through the “Vax to School” program. You can access vaccinations at any of the sites below.

Registration is necessary (see details below). Children aged 12 and up are currently eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

Ulster County VAX Sites will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM on the following dates and locations:

October 2 • Kingston High School, 403 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401

October 3 • Wallkill Sr. High School, 90 Robinson Dr., Wallkill, NY 12589

October 16 • Saugerties Sr. High School, 310 Washington Ave., Saugerties, NY 12477

October 17 • Rondout Valley High School, 122 Kyserike Rd., Accord, NY 12404

October 23 • New Paltz High School, 130 S Putt Corners Rd., New Paltz, NY 12561

October 24 • Onteora High School, 4166 NY-28, Boiceville, NY 12412

November 13 • Ellenville High School, 28 Maple Ave., Ellenville, NY 12428

November 14 • Highland High School, 320 Pancake Hollow Rd., Highland, NY 12528

November 20 • Marlboro High School, 50 Cross Rd., Marlboro, NY 12542

When you arrive at your appointment, be sure to have your printed/screenshot registration ticket, an ID that shows proof of eligibility, and for those getting the booster dose, please bring your CDC vaccination card.
