CALL TO ORDER 5:00PM

Minutes:		August 27, 2020 Move to accept-Fran. Second:-Nancy. Approve-All. 
Financial report:

A. Be it resolved to approve the warrants attached for operating expenses for the months of September 2020. Move to accept-Fran. Second-Eric. Approve-All. 

B.  Be it resolved to accept the August 2020 financial reports as prepared by Rose Woodworth, accountant. Move to accept-Mark. Second-Nancy. Approve-All. 

						
Director's Report:  	CLD reopening-Clintondale will tentatively reopen Oct 15. It’s a very small space, so one family at a time, no in-person programs. Shields, dividers, etc purchased. Will close one hour early for cleaning. 
			Expanded hours HPL-Waiting for feedback from staff. Will stay open til 6 during the week, 2 on Saturday. Still no hanging out or in person programs, so after school crowding is not an issue. Hours expected to start 10/15. 
       Staff unpaid quarantine-2 staff members are travelling to restricted areas. Will have to quarantine x 14 days upon return, upaid. 
			NYLA-Virtual this year, 5 staff are registered. Do not have to ‘attend’ in real time.
       MHLS Trustee trainings- time to register for anyone interested. 
       MHLS Annual meeting-Oct 23 10 am-Eric and Julie will attend. Register if interested. 
			Meraki licensing- network- 3 year license. We were out of the e-rate window, so Meridia will pay for the 1st year, we will review next year and decide whether to renew x 3 years and get the e-rate funding.
			Great Give Back Oct 17	-last year we did a clothing swap. This year we will be cleaning up the Rail Trail from Walkway to Commercial Ave 2:30 to 5.
			Other-Tutor.com- county has subscribed to help our students. Library is also putting together kits to supplement the curriculum. 

Old Business:  	 	Diversity policy- second reading and vote-Move to accept-Fran. Second-Nancy. Approve-All. 
			Diversity Statement-Move to accept-Fran. Second-Eric. Approve-All. 
			


New Business:	   	Updated sick leave in keeping with NYS law-1st reading. Question about wording of returning to “same” position vs “comparable” position. Julie will check in lawyer.

Friends Liaison- Leslie Benson/ Eric Norberg-  No meetings. Eric will touch base with Leslie. Julie has offered Library’s Zoom or GoTo Meeting for virtual meetings. They have kept the same officers for now, no known plans for meetings at this time.
