Highland, NY, 5/24/20 — As Ulster County and surrounding regions prepare for reopening, the Highland Public Library looks forward to once again serving the community in a broader capacity in addition to all the digital services offered in partnership with the Ulster County Library Association.
Highland Public Library will reopen in accordance with NYS Phased reopening plan following guidelines from CDC, NYS and Ulster County Executive. Safety of library staff and community patrons is our top priority. Reopening will be handled in phases.
Phase one focuses on preparing the building for limited staff to return. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and workspaces and public areas will be reconfigured to meet these guidelines.
Phase two will provide limited services to the public. We will begin offering curbside service and limited computer usage appointments. Facemasks and social distancing will be required for all on library property whether in the building or outside. Hand sanitizer will be available on-site.
