The Big Library Read: The Quiet Girl

The Quiet Girl begins with struggling entrepreneur Alex’s arrival in Provincetown to patch things up with his new wife, Mina. He finds an empty wine glass in the sink, her wedding ring on the desk, and a string of questions in her wake. The police believe that Mina, a successful romance author, simply left, their marriage crumbling before it truly began. But what Alex finds in their empty cottage points him toward a different reality: Mina has always carried a secret. And now she’s disappeared. In his hunt for the truth, Alex comes across Layla, a young woman with information to share, who may hold the key to everything his wife has kept hidden. To find his missing wife, Alex must face what Layla has forgotten.

Make Nature Suncatchers

Take a walk and collect bits of nature – leaves, flowers, seed pods, sticks, etc. If using fresh items, be aware that after some time, the finished product may appear cloudy due to the moisture content. You may want to either dry your items (place on a towel or screen for several days until they are free of moisture) or press them (place flowers and leaves between the pages of a heavy book until flat and dry) first.

3D Printing and Tinkercad

We love hosting our 3D Printing classes at the library! Did you know that you can learn how to design a 3D object from your own home using Tinkercad? Save whatever you create and print your item at the library when we reopen. Signing up for Tinkercad is free and allows you to save whatever projects you work on.
