2021 was a year of overcoming challenges. Still dealing with Covid-19, we were forced to evaluate and modify how we brought programs and services safely to our community. Staff rose to the challenge and found safe ways to continue providing services. These included mystery bags, curb-side service, crafts to take home, learning kits, etc. We offered many successful virtual programs such as yoga, Tai Chi, crafts etc.
Last spring and summer we offered story time and yoga on the lawn which were well-received. Once the weather changed, we were able to bring some programs inside following Covid-19 guidelines.
We partnered with local community groups to help meet the needs of people hit hard by the pandemic with food drives, and emergency preparedness programs.
In December, we were honored to be the first local library to achieve Certification in the Sustainable Libraries Program. More information on our accomplishment can be found on our website.
We look forward to more great programs and partnerships in 2022.
